Makati is the country’s financial center and commercial hub. It is also the primary destination for business, lifestyle, entertainment, and culture as it is home to five-star hotels, upscale shopping centers, first class restaurants, embassies and consulates which makes Makati a tourist and local haven for modern lifestyle and recreation. Makati is a city in the Philippines’ Metro Manila region and the country’s financial hub. It’s known for the skyscrapers and shopping malls of Makati Central Business District, and for Ayala Triangle Gardens, an area dotted with trees and sculptures. Ayala Museum houses the Filipinas Heritage Library and craft collections documenting the country’s history. The Rizal Monument is a memorial to national hero José Rizal.

According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 629,616 people making it as the 17th most populous city in the country and ranked as the 41st most densely populated city in the world with 19,336 inhabitants per square kilometer or 50,080 inhabitants per square mile. Although its population is just above half a million, the daytime population of the city is estimated to be more than three million during a typical working day because of the large number of people who go to the city to work, shop, and do business.

he premier shopping and entertainment complex of Makati located in the Central Business District and generally divided into Glorietta and Greenbelt. It is made up of several malls and department stores, hotels, restaurants, and other attractions offering a wide range of retail and dining options, from the budget-friendly to the most luxurious brands. The Center also offers well-landscaped parks and gardens amidst the bustle of commercial activity, most notable of which is the Greenbelt Park with its domed chapel.
